Display issues

So I have certain programs that don't function correctly while I have my Huion graphics tablet connected and in duplicate mode. Mind you this is while the tablet is powered OFF but still connected with the cable. With Kodi running the video often stuttered or took seconds before playing. Sometimes it freezes my PC. I found a solution- which is to disconnect the tablet cable. I found out that other programs work better with the cable disconnected as well. However, I am an artist and I draw on the tablet many times a day. Perhaps someone knows a fix for duplicate displays that improves functionality or optimizes performance etc. This issue has persisted even from drivers from last year. It's just a lot of work having to disconnect and reconnect over and over.

First suggestion would be to make a stink with Huion support (assuming there is one). Generally you don't want your product to get a reputation of being hard to use in a fairly normal scenario. If they are not helpful or interested, then I would test with a different PC either with a fresh Windows install or Linux install and see if the problem is the same. If it is the same, then it is probably the drivers or software for the tablet. If it works better on a different PC, some thing on the first PC is causing an issue.

Sounds as if there is some sort of synchronization issue. Some things to try, each rating a check to see if it fixes the issue:

1. Check your display refresh rate and ensure it matches the tablet's refresh rate.

2. WIN + P (select PC Only) and see if it continues when the PC is no longer in Duplicate mode.

3. Tell NVidia's Control Panel/App to have Kodi run in Fixed Refresh Rate Mode.
