I agree that the "takeover by a foreign power" thing is stupid, but claiming that the American Constitution is extremely strong is also clearly false. Trump and John Roberts are actively destroying our Constitution, and Congress is on the sidelines. Our MILITARY is strong and no other world power has the capacity to deploy sufficient military power to seriously threaten the U.S. in North America, but the Constitution itself is on life support.

You forget that this disproportionally affects the poor and the elderly.
Their vaccines are often paid for by yank's ridiculously bad Medicaid system etc; and this will mean those people will not get them, and probably die.

Trump, Putin and Benji are at death's door. I think there's a case to be made for having leaders that still have a life ahead of them once they stop being leaders, so they won't try to blow up the world on their way out the door.

They will mostly not die. COVID was devastating the elderly, killing crazy numbers like 20% or 30% in some old age homes... but that's still 70-80% surviving it.
Instead, they will mostly be hospitalized and then disabled as wave over wave of disease comes over them. Which means... PROFIT!

My sister lost her sense of taste, and it's been rewired inside her so everything tastes "wrong". She doesn't enjoy food the way she used to.
My mother's current husband nearly died, and still suffers fainting spells.
I do everything I can to stay vaccinated, but even I have succumbed to the pressure to not alienate myself from my current job and am no longer "masking up". At least my current job has VERY little public exposure.

As noted in the article, Denmark has universal health care and, of course, a semi-rational society. Probably a better example of a "peer" country, these days, would be the Congo. And even there, they actually try to contain and treat things like Ebola using basic scientific and medical principles, not "nutrition" and "supplements."

On a meta level as well, since MAGA is actually set up as a hierarchy with Trump in charge, but antifa is a completely leaderless movement with no discernible hierarchy. It's rather hilarious to see the FBI and justice department trying to "dismantle" a movement and find out who's "in charge" of it.
