Also! BD-1 is the best droid companion in all of Star Wars (DISCLAIMER: I've never played KotOR, so I don't have an HK-47 comparison), certainly better than BB-8, and nostalgia aside, I can't get over his cute puppyness, so I'd rank BD-1 over R2-D2.
you nev... what.. how... I don't even...

Well, he *is* a Meatbag, "sir."
Really, really not a high bar to clear as BB-8 was complete and utter shite as a Droid companion. L3-37 or HK-47 would be my picks, I like my droids sassy.
No love for K2SO?

The entire premise of Big Bang Theory is "what dumb people imagine smart people do", so that's not a surprise.
I thought the only premise of BBT was Sheldon is an asshole.

I think we have found out why people distrust/ignore science and don't get vaccinated!

There was some sort of schism years ago when White Wolf changed the rules and no one wanted to play by the new rules.. WW was apparently doing some sort of charging for use of the new rules in LARP? WW bribed some of the nationals, who split off taking a very small number of players with them to pay WW to LARP. I guess there was drama galore between the bribed and everyone else. IIRC the bribed may have had other issues after grossly misrepresenting their sway and how many they could take with them, to WW.
Does CCP (maker of Eve Online) still own White Wolf? Remember when their next great thing was going to be an online version of White Wolf?

If you have any interest in sci-fi modeling at all, Gundam from Bandai are absolutely on another level from the Ravell stuff back in the 70s/80s. I built stuff back then and then tried Gundam in the last 10 years and it was like going from building a computer in the early 90s to building one now. Back then you came away with injuries, tears, rage and frustration. Now days, everything 'just works'. The quality of plastic, molding, fit and finish is frankly amazing.

And then you realize it all moves without breaking.

Adam Savage (and Norm!) build one if you are interested.

I should probably get my daughter her own account too, since she's been buying games (Sims4 expansion packs, so far) through me, and I haven't exactly pointed out that she's paying for them but I'll be keeping them when she moves out. Considering that she's only 9, it's not exactly a pressing concern yet though. :D

Even before my son had his first computer I ended up filling a steam account with various games that I thought he'd like or ones that he played on my system. That way once we got him his own PC I didn't have to spend extra cash on games.
I knew a guy who made a new steam account for every game they purchased. (So, yeah, they had hundreds of steam accounts.) That way no one could block someone else from plaything the game they wanted. At least that was the justification. I am not sure the overhead of that plan would be worth it!

So is there a developer people would have been happy with for a new Star Wars game, because for the longest time it was "get rid of EA exclusivity", and now we're straight into "I'm not buying from Ubi" 🤦‍♂️
I didn't buy the Cal Kestis either games because I HATE "Dark Souls" like games.

Nothing in that above linked game play makes me want to buy the game. On-rails ship combat, pretty standard "steal something, get betrayed, run" level. Except for the fact that its a Star Wars game it wouldn't even be on my radar.

With the pre-release of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown started, Ubisoft has chosen this week to rebrand its Ubisoft+ subscription services, and introduce a PC version of the "Classics" tier at a lower price. And a big part of this, says the publisher's director of subscriptions, Philippe Tremblay, is getting players "comfortable" with not owning their games.
Ubisoft can die in a fire. Do not want. I want to be able to play my games as long as I want, off line, assuming I have the hardware necessary to run the game.

I find this achievement discussion interesting, because I almost never feel any sense of reward or accomplishment when I get achievements in games
I have done a 100% achievement run in one game, Factorio. I am not good enough to get it all done in a single game like the speedrunners do but I have done it. Back before Space Age came out.
