Print Server 2025 Additional Drivers Grayed Out

Hey Guys,

It's been a while since I've posted. We have been buying lots of ARM laptops and are finding that our 2016 print server wouldn't push arm drivers. I upgraded to 2025 and additional drivers is grayed out?!?!!?! How do I put ARM drivers on a server 2025 print server? I've looked all over the webs. Thank you for any help you can offer!

Did you upgrade or build a new server 2025? If an upgrade, try building an all new server 2025.
Are you using "print management" or just right clicking the printer and trying to add a driver in there?

brand new stood up VM, so I could reference the printers on the old server while setting up the new. Using server's print management. I found yesterday that I get the option back for additional drivers when i use a type 3 11x64 driver first. That said, if i get a type 3 on, the arm driver won't add lol. I can't get the arm driver to go on to save my life. I can do x64 all day long but the arm always fails. Then after the queue is set up I deploy out queues via GPO. Basically I had a 2016 server with 200 print queues on it. We bought a buncha arm machines and now the queues won't push. We updated to server 2025 and have arm option now, but can't figure out how to use it.

Disable the printer's network sharing on host server, make your changes, share the printer again.

I ended up resolving this after our whole networking team tried lots of options. The only ARM option that works worth a crap uniformily is to just use a type4 64 11. It's point and print sadly, but it works. You have to use a type3 64 in order to pair an ARM driver and you can only use a type 3 arm driver to pair with it. It's a mess. At that point most of my other computers are behind...... The umbrella fix was just to use type4 64 11 across the board. I hated it.......... but it made it work.
