I'm having entirely too much fun hooning around in my 1994 Subaru Vivio that I've put a 2L four-cylinder engine into. 😁 It "only" puts out 169kW but it also now only weighs 757kg so it absolutely zips around. I could have gone more nuts and put a turbocharger on it and done more engine tweaks, but I wanted to keep it in Class B for the moment.

A screenshot of the Subaru Vivio, it's a very small red hatchback that's been lowered and big rims put on. The design of it very much brings to mind the Mazda 121 of the 90s. It's parked in a very narrow alley in Tokyo at night, with a bunch of lit-up shop signs stretching away down the alley, and it's been raising so there are water drops on the car and reflections in the puddles on the road in front of the car.

I'm always in bonnet-cam view, it feels the most realistic to me because I can see the bonnet so I feels like I'm in the car but without all the extra restriction of the in-car view (and it's very satisfying when you're driving some old muscle car with the engine poking out the top and you see the mechanical bits moving around). The bumper-cam is too low for me, and it feels a bit disconnected because you don't see any of the car. I never ever use the external views because it feels weird, and I'm absolutely awful at controlling the car since it turns before the camera starts turning. :p

[EDIT] Also the in-car view is feels extra weird to me because of the strange movements of your character's hands on the steering wheel as you're turning since it's reacting to just the control stick moving left and right.

Well, I don't think I'm going to be making it to the Golden Wristband level unless it takes a lot less to get there than I think... I'm absolutely dogshit at drifting, and I don't care to do the cross-country events because I find both the vehicles you have to use and the races themselves to be utterly uninteresting. I do not give a single shit about driving giant pickup trucks or buggies, they're the most boring vehicles.

On the topic of expansions, I opted to not get the premium edition of FH6 because the 120 euro price tag was crazy high and the only real value to it for me would be the expansions. However, I found the Hot Wheels expansions from 3 & 5 too goofy to be fun for more than once through.
Yeah this is me as well. I bought the Lego and Hot Wheels ones when they were on big sale and I don't think I played more than an hour of each, I just had no interest in either of them. I loved FH5's rally one and my only complaint is that it was too short (also yeah, could do without the helicopter).
