Yep, I’ve got six leveling right now.
I have 2 of those, useless for me. I can throw them in the guild stash. Both are evasion bases.Yeah, pretty much that. I did check each mirage to see if I could get the 5l, but never did see it show up.
Counterpoint, running up to something and hitting it in the face is far more badass.Anything that involves running up to something is right out when there are plenty of options that don’t involve running up to something.
Also, 9 endurance charges will buy a LOT of forgiveness.Counterpoint, running up to something and hitting it in the face is far more badass.
I view Delve as being kinda similar to scarab/box/shrine strats, which is to say a steady trickle of currency with the occasional big payout. Sure getting a 5c fossil isn't as exciting as the "Tink!" from a div, but getting fossils on the regular will build up a good bit of cash after a while. Plus I just think it's fun.I was going to make a "WHAR DIVS" post, but I found them.
I have been following Jorgen's stuff, and I was aware that there would be changes in the Delve economy. As I was diving, I was trying to sell my fossils & resonators, and was rather unimpressed with the prices I was getting. Then I found two 4 slot resonators and a div...
Some side observations about Delve. The divs are not in the destination, they're in the journey. If you do "short" node hops, the side passages generally won't go anywhere. You need one "tile" between your starting point and your destination to really drive the prices.
While good stuff can drop anywhere, it seems like the best drops are behind the walls that can be dynamited. There are a few fossils that are "worth it" still - hollow fossils are pretty good - but for the most part you'll get more divs by searching for the walls and blowing them up. I haven't tried a darkness run and reset rather than running the path strategy; might be worth exploring.
Oh, and my depth? Just got below 200. Haven't even hit cruising depth yet - aiming for 450.
Yeah, I'm OK with trickle income, but due to the changes the bottom of the market for resonators completely fell out, which is where the trickle income was before. Also I do like that they've made spelunking more profitable now, I always liked that aspect of delve but it was so fucking unrewarding before.
Yeah, I started working my way down there just for shits and giggles, found some random low tier fossils on the way, and was surprised at how expensive they were at like 5-6c each. In previous leagues they'd be 1-2.Yeah, I'm OK with trickle income, but due to the changes the bottom of the market for resonators completely fell out, which is where the trickle income was before. Yeah, but as far as I know the primes never dropped outside of Delve, or if they did they would have been extraordinarily rare. I tend to delve at least a little bit ever league and normally primes are around the 100-120c range, I'm really curious why they're so much more expensive this league seeing as they seem more common, and I would expect more people than normal are delving as well.A lot of the fossil stuff was being provided by non-delve players previously.
Ritual gave them quite a bit. Tujen might have as well, but I can't be certain.Yeah, but as far as I know the primes never dropped outside of Delve, or if they did they would have been extraordinarily rare. Ah well, not gonna complain, got me 5 div of profit (so far) for just doing the basic gruntwork of actualkly getting to some kind of reasonable depth.Normally I'd expect that bit to just be entirely non profitable, excepting leagues where I start delving right away to sell early curse on hit rings.
That would explain it, I fucking hate Ritual so I never saw that.Ritual gave them quite a bit. Tujen might have as well, but I can't be certain.
The boss encounter designers at GGG are that writer-with-flaming-quill picture, like all the time.I don't know if this is a hot take or not, but I still think Sirus is the best boss fight in the game. Followed by Shaper/Elder/Uber Elder. Eater and Exarch are fine, but they just don't have the same gravitas as the older bosses. Though I will give a gold star to Catarina as well, I just really don't like Syndicate so I never get to fight her.
Yeah that's true, I rarely do much expeditioning either so I've only fought them a handful of times but they're also good stuff. Admittedly I think a large part of why I like the bosses I do is also they had a lot of build up before. I imagine for someone who started playing later on running into Sirus or Shaper they'd be real confused who the fuck they are other than loot givers. Or XP takers, depending on the circumstances. The boss encounter designers at GGG are that writer-with-flaming-quill picture, like all the time.
In addition to the ones you've listed, I really dig the Expedition bosses. They have flavour. The Incarnation of Dread is wicked cool too. And the fight with the new(-ish) Breach bosses in the Hive ain't bad either.
Yeah, it's a pity. Up until they added the Eater and Exarch, I think, the Conquerors would drop their lore in order, per Conqueror. Veritania's Journal I, Veritania's Journal II, Drox's Journal I, and so on, eventually arriving at Sirus' journals.Admittedly I think a large part of why I like the bosses I do is also they had a lot of build up before. Yeah, there was even that little part where you did a short mission in Oriath with Kirac, which also explained a bit about who he was and so on. And these days the conquerors just drop the Sirus journals right away, though they do it in order at least.Yeah, it's a pity. Afterwards, each Conqueror started dropping a random Journal when defeated. So you weren't just getting the story any more, you'd need to hunt it down, if you decided you wanted to know it. And it's a good story.
The Mirage maps, are those just better to sell, or are they better to run?
Really? I found it to be much easier to use than rolling magma. Rolling magma always has those weird bounces that miss the thing you're actually trying to kill.I have so many augs and chance orbs. They were not kidding when they said currency drops were increased. And I didn't like the new Templar starter skill. I went back to rolling magma, if that tells you how bad I found it. I died to rhoas 4 or 5 times in the mud flats.
I guess I have leveled enough with rolling magma that I know how it works.Really? I found it to be much easier to use than rolling magma. Rolling magma always has those weird bounces that miss the thing you're actually trying to kill.
Just checking to make sure you know the ways to roll colors on corrupt items.wow, a decent Aegis Aurora for 25c? yes please! And its isn't corrupt so I can roll the socket colors I need!
